This project aims to conduct an energy audit of a rice mill by improving the power factor of its electrical systems using MATLAB. The focus is on optimizing the power factor to reduce energy losses and enhance efficiency. The project involves analyzing the current power consumption patterns, identifying areas of inefficiency, and implementing corrective measures to improve the power factor.

Objectives:

1. Assess Current Energy Consumption:Measure and analyze the existing power consumption of the rice mill.
2. Identify Inefficiencies:Identify areas where power factor correction can be applied to reduce energy losses.
3. Implement Power Factor Correction: Use MATLAB to simulate and implement power factor correction techniques.
4. Evaluate Results: Compare the energy consumption before and after implementing power factor correction to evaluate the effectiveness of the measures.

Methodology:

1. Data Collection: Gather data on the power consumption of various electrical equipment in the rice mill.
2. Power Factor Analysis: Use MATLAB to analyze the power factor of the electrical systems and identify areas with low power factor.
3. Simulation:  Simulate the implementation of power factor correction techniques using MATLAB.
4. Implementation : Apply the corrective measures in the actual rice mill setup.
5. Monitoring and Evaluation:  Continuously monitor the power consumption and evaluate the impact of the implemented measures.
