Fuel cell and battery management simulation using MATLAB

All vehicle which are presently in use comprises of mechanical system which uses energy obtained from non renewable sources . In this specific situation, incorporating energy units such as fuel cell stack combined with battery and dc dc converters may help in saving non-renewable sources as well as they generate pollution free energy (FCs).The implementation of various power management techniques for sources of power affects the fuel utilization, dynamic execution and administration life of these power sources. This paper presents a hybrid FC/battery power framework for a electrical vehicle.

A fuel cell is a device which converts chemical energy (fuel and oxidant) into electrical energy this phenomenon of conversion is also known as electrochemical conversion. If hydrogen is used as fuel source the by -Product we get in the heat and water. Because of its high force density, low working temperature and Noise, and quick beginning up and shutdown, proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is an appealing and a promising possibility for the private application. A significant tool in development of Fuel cell is mathematical representation. The results acquired from a perfect fuel cell model can be exceptionally valuable to manage future examination for fuel cell enhancements and advancement. Our work underlines on the impact of working of fuel cell with power converters and power management with respect to load .we will analyze the performance of PEMFC system by analyzing its measuring parameters such as voltage ,current and power as well as analysis of power converters such as dc to dc converter as well as dc to ac converter.
